Domestic Work is work NOT slavery campaign



A campaign 'Domestic work is work, not slavery' was launched on August 26 2007 to highlight the exploitative conditions many migrant domestic workers around the world face. This campaign is launched in anticipation of the upcoming drafting of the ASEAN charter in November where member states have pledged to create a 'caring and sharing' community.

Who are we?

In anticipation of the High Level Task Force meeting in November to draft the ASEAN Charter, HOME and TWC2 would like to solicit feedback from the public on the measures that Singapore and other ASEAN governments should take to ensure the rights and welfare of migrant workers are protected. Members of the public can make their views known on this blog by using the chatbox or leave comments.
